Charles R. Drew Wellness Center is named the Best Community Center

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– The 2023 Best of Columbia contest has named a winner for the Best Community Center in the city!

The Charles R. Drew Wellness Center offers many amenities for the public: pool, gym, meeting rooms, and more. Reservations can be made for gatherings such as birthday parties and company events.

In a press release, Assistant city Manager of Operations Henry Simons says, “…This honor would not have been possible without the unwavering support of our community and the dedication of our staff, who consistently strive to provide exceptional services and experiences. We are proud to serve the Columbia community and eagerly anticipate continued growth and success.”

The winner is chosen by readers of the Free Times newspaper. The Best of Columbia poll is the city’s longest running readers’ choice contest.
