Expert: VP Showdown Possible Gamechanger

On the street, many people still are unsure whom they favor in the presidential election. Traditionally, the vice-presidential debates haven’t been a factor in that decision, until now. Benedict College’s Dr. Harry Singleton predicts Republican Congressman Paul Ryan will take advantage of Barack Obama’s poor performance last week in the first presidential match-up against Mitt Romney and that tonight’s debate in Kentucky is a possible game-changer. “Ryan wants to continue that momentum,” said Singleton. The older, more experienced debater, Vice-President Joe Biden, singleton says, needs to come out swinging in order to turn the tide. “They can turn him loose in terms of being more descriptive. Contain him in how he expresses himself but more descriptive as far as what the administration has accomplished,” said Singleton. It’s a vice-presidential contest that could sway the approximately 90% of Americans Singleton believes haven’t picked a president. He claims the current state the economy adds fuel to the fire of tonight’s contest, which is all the more reason both wingmen are expected to bring A-game. “It becomes even more crucial now to watch and make a conscious decision relative to the future of America.”
