USC Notes From LSU

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) — The Gamecocks have fallen to number 9 in the AP poll and are number 7 in the first BCS poll of the season after their 23-12 loss to LSU. Here are some of the numbers to that game. Senior center T.J. Johnson tied Cliff Matthews for the school record in career starts at 47. Johnson has started every game over the past four seasons. Ace Sanders tied his career high in receptions with five on Saturday night. Senior linebacker Shaq Wilson tallied a career-high 14 tackles. It was also the most tackles by a Gamecock player in a game this season. His previous career-high was 11, twice in his sophomore season in 2009, at Alabama and vs. Arkansas. Marcus Lattimore has now scored a touchdown in his last eight games. Lattimore now has 40 career touchdowns, 37 rushing; both are school records that he set earlier in the season Connor Shaw attempted his most passes of the season with 34 attempts and had his second highest completions of the season with 19. Shaw threw for 2 touchdowns and 177 yards, however he also threw two interceptions.
