COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — Three people have been arrested in connection with a deadly shooting at a Columbia restaurant last month.
Police said Wednesday that 23-year-old Rayski Walters had been arrested on several weapons charges. Authorities say Walters was at a Columbia McDonald’s restaurant Sept. 15 when the shooting happened.
Two other men each face weapons charges and seven counts of attempted murder. Authorities say 23-year-old Terrell Lamont Bethel and 20-year-old Torance Lamar Peoples fired into a crowd at the restaurant during a fight.
Twenty-year-old Steve McCoy of Elgin was killed, and several other people were hit by bullets.
It wasn’t known if any of the defendants had attorneys. Police say more arrests are possible.
