Woman found dead at scene of “suspicious” fire
Richland County Sheriff's deputies are investigating a death at the scene of a suspicious fire Friday night on Quiet Lane
COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) — Richland County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a death at the scene of a suspicious fire Friday night on Quiet Lane.
Officials say they responded to the fire just after 5 p.m. Friday at 1145 Quiet Ln.
While Columbia and Richland Fire were extinguishing the flames, they found a female victim, who was unresponsive, inside the house. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
RCSD investigators are questioning witnesses and acquaintances to determine what happened.
