Richland County Gathers Flooding Input
COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) — Residents affected by the historic October flooding are invited to offer input to help Richland County plan for future natural disasters.
“The Community Input and Recovery Project” is a series of six meetings to gather feedback from residents. They run from January 19 until January 23.
Public input from the meetings will be used to compile a technical report that is specific to the county and will include strategies for lessening the effects of future flooding.
Residents are encouraged to bring photos and other information to document recent, as well as recurrent, flooding in their communities.
