Suspect in Greene Street assault arrested
A man accused of assaulting a victim on Greene Street this week, turned himself into Columbia Police Department Saturday morning
COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) – A man accused of assaulting a victim on Greene Street this week, turned himself into Columbia Police Department Saturday morning.
CPD officials say 21-year-old Harold Jacobsen is charged with Assault and Battery of a High and Aggravated Nature.
The incident occurred after Jacobsen and the victim were reportedly arguing shortly before 2 a.m. January 21 at the 2000 block of Greene Street. Investigators say Jacobsen punched the victim in the head, causing him to fall and hit his head on the concrete.
The victim remains in the hospital.
