Bill Clinton to Campaign for Wife at Allen University

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) — Bill Clinton will be in the Palmetto State to campaign for his wife ahead of the Democratic primary.

The former U.S. president will be at Allen University on Wednesday, February 3 to rally voters as, Hillary Clinton, the Democratic presidential front runner seeks to become the nation’s first female president.

The Democratic primary in South Carolina is Saturday, February 27.

A release from the campaign says the president will talk about why Hillary Clinton is the best choice for South Carolinians.

The statement says in part,” Hillary Clinton has spent her entire life taking on the toughest fights on behalf of families and children–starting here in South Carolina while working at the Children’s Defense Fund.”

Before the event, President Clinton will meet with Sen. John Matthews, Rep. Todd Rutherford, and other state Democrats to discuss issues facing communities across the state.
