BROADCASTERS:

Today — Friday, October 26, 2012, is a contest day for radio members who wish to enter the 2012 South Carolina AP Broadcasters’ Association annual competition. Yesterday — Thursday, October 25, 2012, was a contest day for television stations.

Radio stations planning to enter the contest should tape their entries today. Television stations should save tapes from yesterday.

Five contest days are held each year for the best newscast for radio and tv, and for best weather forecast and best sportscast for television categories. Radio members are notified of the contest during morning drive of the contest day. Television members are notified the day after a contest day. This is the second contest day of the year.
