Neighboring Counties Team up in Missing Persons’ Searches

ORANGEBURG/CLARENDON COUNTIES, S.C. (WOLO) – The search continues for a missing Orangeburg County man who car was found abandoned Tuesday. Now, deputies in a neighboring county are also looking for his 16-year-old sister-in-law. The Clarendon County Sheriff’s Office says Nami Patel left Clarendon High School voluntarily Monday and hasn’t been seen since. Local law enforcement agencies are working together to determine if the cases are linked. Orangeburg County deputies say Sanjeev Verma told his wife he was going to meet a local magistrate Monday but never showed up for the appointment. If you have any information on their whereabouts, you’re asked to call authorities.
