Deputies: Concerned Citizens Detain Purse Snatcher

RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO) – Some concerned citizens aren’t going to let an accused robber get off scott free. Authorities say they were able to chase down Juan Ashley Wednesday night and detain him until deputies arrived. Ashley allegedly grabbed a 62-year-old woman’s purse and knocked her down in the Kroger parking lot off Two Notch Road. The victim was treated for injuries sustained during the incident. Deputies are still looking for a second suspect who made off with cash and credit cards inside that purse after Ashley dropped it. That individual was seen driving a white Chevy HHR.
