OCSO: Holly Hill Academy teacher charged after allegation of intimate relationship with student
ORANGEBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– A Midlands school teacher has been charged after an allegation of an intimate relationship with a student, say Orangeburg County deputies.
Orangeburg County Sheriff‘s investigators say they were notified on Nov.8 of inappropriate contact between a Holly Hill Academy teacher and a student.
“We began investigating immediately after being notified of these allegations in order to prevent any further inappropriate contact with students,” said the Orangeburg sheriff.
Investigators say the head of the school and the assistant head of the school reached out to deputies after hearing rumors of a possible inappropriate relationship between a teacher and a student.
One student said they have seen pictures of the teacher on the student’s phone, say investigators.
Sheriff Ravenell says 27-year-old Reagan Anderson has been charged with two counts of sexual battery with a student 16 or 17 years of age, with no aggravated force coercion.
Anyone with information or who knows of any other possible victims is asked to contact the OCSO at 803-534-3550.
“If anyone has any more information, they are asked to get in touch with us,” said the sheriff.
