Newberry County Sheriff’s Office seeking donations for Operation Santa Claus program

NEWBERRY COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– The Newberry County Sheriff’s Office says it is hosting its annual Operation Santa Claus program for families in need.

The department says the program is to help families and children in need get the chance to have a Christmas that they may not have been afforded.

The sheriff’s office is asking the public to help by donating items.

Gift cards or new toys in their original packaging for children of all ages will be accepted at the Newberry County Sheriff’s Office from Nov.13 through Dec.8.

“We have always appreciated our citizens that have supported and sponsored this yearly program,” said Sheriff Lee Foster.
