Antwane ‘Juice’ Wells Jr. announces return for next season

The future for current Gamecock wide receiver Antwane ‘Juice’ Wells Jr. became crystal clear Monday night.

Wells Jr. announced the major news via social media that he will not play the rest of the season but will return to South Carolina next season.

‘Juice’ has been sidelined since Sept. 16 after suffering a foot injury during South Carolina’s opening scoring drive against No.1 Georgia.

Since Wells went down in USC’s SEC opener, Shane Beamer has listed the wide receiver week-to-week during injury updates.

Wells was a preseason All-SEC selection after a break out year in ’22 when he was named first-team All-SEC.

Last season for the Gamecocks, Wells was Spencer Rattler’s favorite target, snagging 68 balls for 928 yards and 6 touchdowns.
