Sumter County man sentenced for possessing drugs
WEDGEFIELD, S.C. (WOLO)– A Sumter County man has been sentenced for possessing drugs, said the US Attorney’s Office District of South Carolina.
On Oct.10, 2022, a Sumter County Deputy conducted a traffic stop on 44-year-old Martez Coleman, said the attorney’s office.
The deputy smelled marijuana and saw a bag of what was believed to be illegal narcotics in the vehicle.
Deputies found 126 grams of fentanyl, 47 grams of marijuana, and a stolen firearm.
Coleman was sentenced to 12 years in federal prison.
