One person was killed in a crash Sunday morning along I-77 Southbound near the Bluff Road exit in Columbia
COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) – One person was killed in a crash Sunday morning along I-77 Southbound near the Bluff Road exit in Columbia.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol said 25-year-old Tremaine Germany-Byrd was driving the 2007 Toyota, when it ran off the road, striking a guard rail and a bridge around 9:20 a.m. Sunday.
Richland County Coroner Gary Watts said 30-year-old Janikque Keitt of Columbia was the passenger in the vehicle.
She died at the scene from injuries sustained in the crash.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol continues to investigate.
Germany-Byrd was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
