Gamecocks wide receiver takes kids on shopping spree

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WPDE)– Gamecocks Wide Receiver Xavier Legette has always given his time and resources to helping others.

Last week the soon to be professional football player surprised 10 local kids with a free shopping spree at Academy Sports and Outdoors in Florence, S.C.

The kids say they had a great time and Legette says he had more fun giving back.

Legette is widely projected to be a first or second round pick in the upcoming NFL draft.
