Lexington man arrested on charges connected to sexual exploitation of minors

LEXINGTON, S.C. (WOLO)– South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson is announcing the arrest of a Lexington man in connection with sexual exploitation of minors charges.

The  Attorney General’s Office says Tracy Scott Springer, 52, of Lexington, S.C., is being charged with four counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, third degree.

Investigators stated a CyberTipline report from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) led them to Springer who possessed files of child sexual abuse material.

Springer was arrested on December 18, 2023, by the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force investigators and the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department.

Investigators with the Attorney General’s Office and a member of the state’s ICAC Task Force assisted with the investigation, say officials.
