Watch: RCSD Says Goodbye to Fallen K9

Richland County, S.C. (WOLO) — On Wednesday, the Richland County Sheriff’s Department said goodbye to one of it’s own.

K9 officer Robby, who died of cancer last month, was laid to rest with the full dignity and ceremony afforded his human comrades.

It was an especially somber occasion for Robby’s handler Max Anderson who says losing the four-legged friend is like losing a member of the family.

Prior to working with RCSD, Anderson served as a K9 handler in the U.S. Airforce. During that time he worked with 8 K9 but he explains that none of them left a lasting impression like Robby.
