Date set for evidentiary hearing in possible Murdaugh murders retrial

(WPDE)– New information continues to emerge regarding Alex Murdaugh’s efforts for a retrial.

Judge Jean Toal will preside over evidentiary hearing scheduled for January 29 through January 31.

The Preliminary hearing has also been scheduled for January 15.

Murdaugh’s defense team has said Colleton County Clerk of Court Becky Hill tampered with the jury.

Murdaugh is currently serving life for killing his wife Maggie and youngest son Paul in Colleton County.
