Boil Water Advisories

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) — The City of Columbia has issued a boil water advisory for water customers in the 400 Block of Charing Cross Road in the Friargate subdivision.

Officials say a four inch water main break is to blame.

Water customers may check the City of Columbia website at https://local.nixle.com/city-of-columbia-water-and-sewer/ for updates on this boil water advisory.

The City of West Columbia has also experienced a water line break affecting water customers in the following areas:

• 2900 – 3100 Block of Sunset Blvd
• 2720 and 2711 Hebron Drive

Water customer may check the City of West Columbia website at https://westcolumbiasc.gov/ for updates on this boil water advisory.

Residents in these areas should vigorously boil their water for at least one full minute prior to drinking or cooking.
