6 Hospitalized Following Accident

Columbia, SC (WOLO)– Six people were taken to the hospital Friday afternoon after a car hit a CMRTA bus on Gervais St. Investigators with the Columbia Police Department say at 3:30 Friday afternoon someone driving a Chevy Cobalt ran a red light at Gervais and Sumter and struck the bus. The collision caused the Chevy to flip over. Police say six people were transported to Palmetto Health Richland. The driver will be charged with running a red light.
