11-year-old robbed at gunpoint by two teenagers

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) – An 11-year-old, meeting up with two teenagers to sell a cell phone, was robbed at gunpoint by them, Richland County Sheriff’s deputies said.

This happened Saturday in the 2100 block of Kathleen Drive. After the two suspects pulled out a handgun, we’re told the victim quickly handed over the phone, and the suspects fled the area. It didn’t take long for law enforcement to find them.

Both teens are charged in the armed robbery. They were released to the custody of their parents, following a hearing in family court.
