Sheriff’s Deputy Arrested Accused of Burglary, Domestic Violence

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) – A deputy with the Richland County Sheriff’s Department is finding herself on the other side of law.

Sharmeen Danyelle Crandell, 41, was arrested and is charged with second degree burglary and domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature.

According to a police report Crandell and a second suspect went to the victim’s apartment and assaulted him.

The victim told police deputies that he and Crandell were in a relationship and had ended the relationship weeks prior.

Crandell is being held  at the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.
