Replacing Lattimore

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) — Last Wednesday start running back Marcus Lattimore announced he was going to enter the 2013 NFL draft. While the Gamecocks prepare to face Michigan we will look at what the team has moving forward without Lattimore. Kenny Miles and Mike Davis filled in nicely after Lattimore went down with that gruesome season-ending knee injury versus Tennessee. Miles is a senior and will not be back next year. Davis is a freshmen and ran the ball pretty well behind Miles. Davis finished the season with 52 carries, 275 yards and 2 touchdowns. Last, season when Lattimore went down with his injury the team turned to Miles and freshman Brandon Wilds. Wilds didn’t play this year and will most likely receive a red-shirt. Last season Wilds ran the ball 107 times for 486 yards and 3 touchdowns; including three games with 20 carries or more and more than a 100 yards in each.
