Gaston Police arrest barricaded suspect

GASTON, S.C. (WOLO)– The Gaston Police Department has arrested an armed man who barricaded himself for hours yesterday said the department.

Officers say they responded to a home on Mack Street regarding an assault with a firearm.

When they arrived the suspect who was still armed went to a bedroom and barricaded himself.

Investigators say after three hours of negotiations he surrendered and arrested without force being used.
