Apartment Fire Displaces Several Families

(WOLO) COLUMBIA, S.C.– Lexington county and Columbia Fire officials say several families were forced to flee their homes after a unit caught fire damaging several homes early Sunday morning. Just after 9 Sunday, officials say they responded to the Country Walk Apartments in the 4 hundred block of Foxfire Drive in Columbia and found the apartment building heavily involved. Authorities say it took them nearly an hour to put the blaze out. 6 units were damaged by the fire displacing several residents. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
