COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) — Monday’s winner-take-all NCAA regional game at Founders Park between the Gamecocks and UNCW has been postponed because of rain until Tuesday.  Tuesday’s game time is still to be determined.

The winner of Tuesday’s game will face Oklahoma State in the Super Regional round.  The Cowboys advanced through the Clemson regional.

After losing its regional opener Friday night 5-4 to Rhode Island, South Carolina (45-16) fought its way through the loser’s bracket with three straight wins, including Sunday night’s 10-1 win over UNCW (41-18).

The Seahawks had planned on pitching Friday night starter Ryan Foster against the Gamecocks.  The extra day means USC adds several options to its pitching plans, including Friday night starter Clarke Schmidt, Saturday starter Braden Webb (only threw 54 pitches in his last outing) and reliever Josh Reagan.
