Police: Expired Tags Lead To Arrest For Drugs
SUMTER COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO) – A 52-year-old Edgewater Drive man was arrested on drug charges after a traffic stop.
A Sumter County deputy stopped Daniel Browder’s vehicle around 9 p.m. on June 19 on Starks Ferry Road for an expired tag, officials say.
According to sheriff’s officials, Browder was able to provide a valid SC driver’s license, but could not provide the vehicle registration or insurance information.
A K-9 search of the vehicle revealed a camouflaged tackle bag containing two bags with a white rock substance inside, two glass pipes, three black scales and coins, authorities say.
Authorities say deputies also discovered over $1,500 in cash.
Browder is charged with trafficking meth, 10 grams or more.
He is being held at the Sumter-Lee Regional Detention Center.
