As temperatures drop, warming stations in the Midlands open up

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– In preparation of the temperature drop this weekend some local churches and places will open up warming centers this week.

Lexington County:

The Radius Church at White Knoll’s warming center on Platt Springs Road will be open on Friday and Saturday from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m.

Newberry County:

O’Neal Street United Methodist Church officials say it’s warming station will be open as long as the weather is freezing.

Sumter County:

Sumter United Ministries: Rebuilding Lives officials say it’s winter shelter will be open at 215 N. Magnolia Street from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.

Orangeburg County:

The Department of Public Safety will open up its lobby at 1320 Middleton Street on Saturday and Sunday from 6 p.m. until 7 a.m.
