City of Sumter hosting trash removal service week
SUMTER, S.C. (WOLO)– The City of Sumter is hosting a free one-time residential curbside junk removal service next week, said city officials.
The junk removal service will be held the week of January 22-26.
City of Sumter residents are allowed to place large, unwanted items at their curb for collection.
City officials ask that all items be sorted into specific piles by Sunday, Jan. 21.
“It’s important that we love where we live and keep Sumter clean and this is yet another way for us to offer our resources and hopefully alleviate massive dumping grounds in our city,” Mayor David Merchant stated.
Residents can place items such as furniture, appliances, mattresses, and other household items at the curb, said officials.
