Richland Co. Wins Penny Tax Lawsuit

Columbia, S.C. (WOLO)–Richland County is getting its penny tax revenue back.
Wednesday Judge Thomas Cooper notified the Department of Revenue it was required to release the funds.
The announcement is the result of a lawsuit filed by the county after the DOR withheld the penny tax proceeds and accused the county of misappropriating the funds.
