Victim Died of Hyperthermia, Coroner Says
RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (PRESS RELEASE) – Richland County Coroner Gary Watts has released the name of the man who died of heat related conditions in the early morning hours of July 6.
31-year-old Jamal Dirk Graham, was transported to Dorn VA Hospital ER on July 5 and died of hyperthermia.
Coroner Watts wants to inform the public of heat related illnesses and death due to the extreme weather conditions. The elderly, young and infirmed are most susceptible to the heat and those caring for such individuals should take steps to prevent any serious outcomes. Pet owners should take extra precautions during this time also.

Heat Exhaustion and Heat Stroke are the two major conditions of overheating and adequate steps should be taken to prevent either.
