Blowfish Slip on Bananas Saturday

lex-blowfish.jpgSAVANNAH (Blowfish) — Lexington would play game two of the home and home series with the Savannah Bananas on Saturday.

The Blowfish would struggle early from the plate as the first three batters were retired in order. In the second Lexington would load the bases but leave the runners stranded to remain scoreless.

Savannah got on the board first in the bottom of the second. Christian Hollie(UTA) hit a solo shot over the left field fence to give the Bananas the lead. 1-0

Chas McCormick(Millersville) would lead off the third with a triple to deep left center field. Grant Miller(Western Michigan) would hit McCormick in on a sacrifice fly to right field, knotting the ball game at one.

The Bananas would answer the run scored by scoring four more runs of their own in the bottom of the fourth. 5-1

Blowfish bats would remain quiet for the rest of the night and the Bananas would add four more runs to make the final score 9-1.
