Lexington County coroner identifies person killed in motorcycle accident

LEXINGTON COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher has released the name of the person who died in a motorcycle accident near the 63 mile-maker of I-20, said the coroner’s office.

According to Coroner Fisher, Patrick Riley Prewitt, 21, of Lexington was traveling westbound when he went off the right side of the highway and hit a guard rail.

The collision happened around 10:24 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 26.

Prewitt was pronounced dead at the scene.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol and the Lexington County Coroner’s Office are continuing to investigate the incident.
