Shaw Air Force Officer Charged with Child Pornography, Obstruction

Colonel Williams R. Jones/Shaw.Af.MilSHAW AIR FORCE BASE, S.C. (WOLO) – A spokesperson with Shaw Air Force Base said Monday that a former officer has been charged with possession of child pornography and obstruction of justice.

Col. William R. Jones was charged on June 29; a preliminary hearing is scheduled for Aug. 8, officials say in a press release.

“The charges are being worked through the legal process outlined in the UCMJ, and Col. Jones is presumed innocent until proven guilty by a court of law,” Col. Stephen Jost, 20th Fighter Wing Commander said in the release.
