Child finds grenade buried in Forest Acres backyard

Forest Acres, SC (WOLO) — The Forest Acres Police Department was called to investigate a grenade found buried behind a Forest Acres home.

Officers were called to the 2000 block of Dalloz Road Tuesday after a child reported finding the bomb in the backyard.

The Richland County Bomb Squad responded and helped in destroying the weapon, later determining the grenade was a training weapon and was not live.
