1 dead, 2 injured in Lexington County crash involving motorcycle

LEXINGTON COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– One person is dead and two others are injured after a weekend crash that involved a motorcycle, said state troopers.

South Carolina Highway Patrol said the crash happened around 1:35 p.m. on South Lake Drive near Paps Drive south of Lexington on Sunday, Feb.4.

A motorcycle was traveling east on South Lake Drive while a Chevy SUV was traveling west when they collided at the intersection.

The person on the motorcycle was taken to Lexington Medical Center where the motorcyclist was later pronounced dead.

The driver of the Chevy SUV and a passenger was also taken to the hospital for injuries.

The crash is under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
