SCHP: Driver dies after hitting tree in Richland County

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– One person is dead after an early morning collision on highway SC-769, said state troopers.
According to the SCHP, the collision happened around 1:30 a.m. on SC-769 at Cabin Creek Road, 2.3 miles North of Eastover.
State troopers said, a 2013 Honda Accord was traveling South on the highway when it went off the left side of the road and hit a tree.
The collision is under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
