Claflin basketball player named HBCU National Player of the Week

ORANGEBURG, S.C. (WOLO)– Claflin University junior guard Lauren Scott received an honor on Monday.
The junior was named the HBCU National Player of the Week by From Pressbox to Press Row after a good week of playing.
Scott led the team to back-to-back wins at Shaw in Raleigh, North Carolina, and a home win over the Saint Augustine’s Falcons.
At Shaw she scored a game-high 26 points that included hitting the game-winning three-pointer with nine seconds left and then she closed the week with 19 points to lead the Lady Panthers to a 75-61 win over Saint Augustine’s.
