SCDMV: New license plates won’t have stickers

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– If you own a car and it’s time for a new license plate registration sticker, you’ll want to double-check your situation as the DMV recently made some changes.

Officials say, depending on the situation some newer license plates will have the information normally on a sticker permanently etched into the plate.

A spokesperson for the DMV says the change is rot offset the cost of having to produce the stickers.
