Local Living: Columbia & Lexington adoption specials, USC’s “Spurs Up Sprint” 5K

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– In today’s look at Local Living, time is running out for you to take advantage of Columbia Animal Services’ adoption special happening this month.

You can bring home your new fur-ever friend for just $14. All you have to do is stop by the shelter located on Humane Lane.

The special ends on Thursday, Feb. 29.

You can see if there is a four legged friend just right for you during their operation hours from 12 p.m. until 5 p.m. this week.

The Lexington County Animal Services’ Valentines adoption special ends on Thursday, Feb. 29, also. All adoption fees are reduced to $5.

You can visit the shelter on Ball Park Road this week from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.

You can join the USC Alumni Association for their “Spurs Up Sprint” 5K. The event will be held on Saturday, March 2nd at 8:30 a.m.

There will also be a kids fun run at 8 a.m. You can either participate in person or through the virtual 5K.

Registration costs $45 and all proceeds will go toward student scholarships.
