Bitcoin surpasses $60,000 for the first time since 2021

(CNN)– Anyone who’s been hanging onto Bitcoin waiting for a price spike is pretty happy right now. The most well known cryptocurrency surpassed $60 thousand Wednesday.

It’s the first time that’s happened since November 2021. Bitcoin has been going up since the securities and exchange commission green lit Bitcoin exchange traded funds last month.

Also Bitcoin is about to “half” which means the rate of new coins entering circulation will go down.

It’s built-in feature of the crypto that takes place about every four years to help create scarcity.
