Police: Suspect Charged With Four Counts of Attempted Murder After Shooting Into Occupied Car

ORANGEBURG, S.C. (WOLO) – An Orangeburg man has been charged with four counts of attempted murder after witnesses said he fired a weapon at an occupied car.
The alleged shooter in the case, 39-year-old Clarence Williams, was in court on Wednesday where bond was set at $20,000 cash or surety.
A woman said that around 12:50 a.m. on August 8 she was traveling in Orangeburg with three other women when a man in a white vehicle began shooting at them, police say.
Authorities say no one was injured in the incident.
Orangeburg County Sheriff’s deputies stopped a vehicle matching the description given of the shooter’s car.
Authorities say evidence collected from the car indicated a firearm may have been fired from the vehicle.
