Union County Jail records show that Ashley Tyler and Kenneth Lipsey Jr. are back in custody Saturday and are each facing an added escape charge.

Authorities say the two men escaped Friday afternoon from the Union County Jail.

Tyler was in jail awaiting a murder trial in the death of his stepmother, while Lipsey was charged with possession of methamphetamine.

Officers using bloodhounds tracked the men. They were arrested Saturday morning.

Sheriff David Taylor released a statement saying they were found in a wooded area and arrested without incident. Taylor says a homeowner tipped authorities to footprints, and the bloodhound units tracked them the rest of the way.
