South Carolina closer to open carry law

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– State lawmakers approved a bill that would allow anyone who can legally own a gun to carry it openly.

But the bill includes penalties for people who repeatedly carry guns in places where they are banned like schools or courthouses.

It also provides millions for gun training across the state.

The bill now moves to the governor’s desk.
