Gamecocks’ Coach Dawn Staley held shoe giveaway for children in community

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– The University of South Carolina Gamecocks played their first game in the SEC women’s basketball tournament on Friday.

But while Head Coach Dawn Staley is in Greenville, she is also giving back to the community.

Staley handed out new shoes to 50 children at the Sterling Community Center.

She says when the Gamecocks are in town she likes to go into the community and be a beacon of hope for children.
