“Steve Spurrier-Florida Field” Takes Shape

GAINESVILLE, FL — A new sign with a familiar name has been placed on Ben Hill Griffin Stadium.

The new sign, reading “Steve Spurrier-Florida Field” was put up Friday afternoon by the University of Florida Athletic Association.

Florida made the decision to rename its field after the former Florida/USC coach in June.

The official unveiling will come next Saturday, Sept. 3 when the Gators host UMass.

Spurrier is the winningest head coach at both Florida and Carolina.
