21 displaced following apartment fire in Columbia
COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– No injuries were reported after an apartment complex caught on fire on Sunday. Columbia and Irmo firefighters responded to the Hollows Apartment complex on Longcreek Drive before 7 p.m.
Officials say the fire caused part of the roof to collapse after it spread throughout the building. Although the fire was extinguished firefighters say the complex was left a total loss.
The fire displaced 21 people in 8 apartments. The Red Cross says it’s helping the victims. The Richland County Fire Marshals Office is investigating the cause.
