Pet of the Week: Lolita!

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO): Meet little Lolita! She is searching for her forever home through Pawmetto Lifeline.

Lolita is a precious senior Rat Terrier mix, at an estimated 10 years old. Pawmetto Lifeline says they rescued her after she was sadly dumped in a crate at the municipal shelter. It appeared she had been left in a crate for awhile, unable to stand or move, resulting in a crippled-like state, with difficulty walking.

She has been in a loving foster home for a couple weeks, and is already making great progress. She loves to trot around outside and needs daily walks around the yard to help build up her leg strength.

Lolita is experiencing typical senior dog issues that come with age, like limited hearing and sight, but she doesn’t let that stop her! She is sweet as can be, loves the outdoors, and snuggling up on the couch. Her foster mom says she does well with her senior chihuahua dog too!

Because of her age and size, Lolita would probably do best in a quiet home that will allow her to live out her golden years comfortably. That may mean no big or high energy dogs, or young kids. Pawmetto Lifeline always encourages meet and greets with any current furry or human friends in the home.
